Free "Gardening with Kids" Magazine

Free "Gardening with Kids" Magazine. I received this magazine a few weeks ago. It has some great ideas in it. It offers items for sale, but we are using it to recreate our own stuff. Best of all, you can't beat FREE.

This may sound really silly, but I have wanted to plant a simple veggie garden for years and have no idea how to go about it. I am not sure what I should do first. The area I would like to plant in, next spring, is covered with grass and weeds currently. Anyone have any helpful hints? I checked some books out of the library but they were over my head. I also called the garden center here, but they also went way in depth. I just want to make it simple as possible because my young child, who is five, will be helping me. I want to make it a fun learning experience for the both of us.

See if you can get the book Roots, Shoots, Buckets and Boots from your library. (they can inter-library loan it if they don't have it). It's wonderful and simple. You and your child can pick from a variety of simple children's gardens. My son and I had a blast with the Moonbeam garden last year.
