What are the easiest flower for kids to grow?

We are planning on planting some flowers, tomatoes and a couple of other things this year.

We have some wildflower seeds again. My dd wants to try zinnias so we are going to try those and after reading about Anna's lavendar, I want to look for a pot of it, too.

We are also going to try some sunflowers but they might not grow in our clay soil in the back of our apartment.

Both of my kids enjoyed watching the tomatoes grow from the seeds up last year. For not having a clue to what I was doing, they didn't turn out bad. lol!

I think I am going to try to let each of my dc children grow a marigold from seed this spring.
