light green

First I need to know what kind of potato I need in order to grow a light green leave of potato. I already have the dark/purple and the kind of potato that you baked or mashed for dinner and the leaves are not the kind that I am looking for. I have two different potatoes that I just planted Sunday and I am waiting for the leaves to come out and see if it is the light green leave.

I think you are looking for the sweet potato vine called Ipomoea batatas Margarita. This is used in planters and other focal areas. It has the light green leaves you are referring to. An easy way to see this plant is to go to www.whiteflowerfarm.com. There is a search box. Enter sweet potato vine. It will show two varieties - the dark leaved Blackie and the light green variety Margarita. You can double click on these to read the descriptions. I hope this helps.
