tomatoes, lettuce and I'd like to try growing basil.

I live about 4 miles in a couple of directions from farms so I can get produce in the summer.

I have always loved gardening. Here in Florida we are able to grow things all year. Some times we get a cold wave that freezes things and we have to cut everything back to the grownd. Some of the bushes came back hardier.
I always plant tomatoes, spaghetti squash, stringbeans, scallions and herbs. I have three fig trees that will start producing soon for months. I still have some in the freezer. There is a farm nearby that raises blueberries the size of half dollars. I would love to have some of those plants. Going to see if I can get some.

What I like is the tomatoes reseed themselves always have extra plants. Flowers reseed too if you help spread the seeds around.

Not too many where I live grow vegetables but I think this year they will. It is a great way to get outside and get some exercise.
