Did you Know pt.ll

I just did this in household hints, but this is stuff for gardening/yard. let me know some of your hints

If you mow your yard in concentric squares all the clippings will end up in a nice pile in the center no raking.
Whirl-y-gigs placed around your garden will get rid of burrowing animals in your garden ( groundhogs, moles..)
Rabbits hate talcum powder and will not go near it.
Beer will drown slugs. Place in a shallow container neer where the slugs are eating they will go to the beer and drown in it.
A mix of yeast water and sugar does the same.
Roses love epson salts. So do tomato's they'll taste better too
If your dog digs in your garden place some of his droppings in the garden and he won't did there anymore.
If you have an oil tank outside paint it in a pastel to save on oil costs.
Tie up plants with old nylons instead of rope/string/cord it won't hurt the plant.
To get more tomato's from your plants, plant sideways. ( plant the root then bend the plant and cover the stem with soil and leave the leaves poking up) works again with roses.
Use drywall mix ( polyfila) where you dog goes to the washroom and it will balance the acid so no brown spots.
Add a pipe adapter to your hoseabout 6 inches when you water your lawn or garden make a hole ( with another pipe) and stick the hose in to water the ground. Promotes stong deep roots and helps the grass choke out weeds. Do this around every 8 square feet every 2 weeks
For a maintance free lawn use creeping thyme instead of grass.
I can't really think of anything else with the snow outside my window just coming down, happy gardening I guess.

Great tips! Thanks!

Especially love the one about the dog going to the washroom!
