Question Flower sites?

I'm looking for a Web site that has pictures of the flowers - I'm trying to decide what to buy for my front flower garden. It runs the length of 2/3 of my house and it is partly shadey because of the trees in our front yard.

I've grown Impatiens in the raised bed a few years ago, and may try them again this year. But the lower bed used to have Tulips and Lillies in it. Last year the weeds were so thick that I only had about six flowers!

I'm not real good at distinguishing what is flower and what is weed until it's a couple inches tall, but I'm getting better!

Oh, and I have a handful of Crocuses in early spring as well.

This year I'm digging up the whole plot and redistributing the bulbs that I find, and I'd like to add some of my own flowers as well (I've been here 12 yrs and I've never done more than weed that plot, besides planting the Impatiens!)

So, does anyone have a good Web site to send me to?

Kelly- A site I enjoyed was www.brentandbeckysbulbs.com

They hybridize daffodils and have tons of pictures and descriptions. Of course, they want you to order theirs, but actually, their prices aren't horrible on some things. Anyway, the pictures are nice.

I have even typed such things as "little blue flowers" into a search engine and found some pics. Then again, I found a lot of weird stuff, too.

Disclaimer I am in no way affiliated with Brent OR Becky. hehe..just liked their pictures. In fact, I went to their site because I saw them on Martha Stewart. They have a very touching story about how they got into the business...it's worth a look just for that.

Thanks ladies!

I've bookmarked all those pages and plan to spend time looking at them later tonight. I just found my notes from visitin Wal-Mart last night and looking at the bulbs that they have. I already have Lilly bulbs, which have a recommended spacing of 6-8". But I'm thinking of getting some Large Ornamental Dahlias. The photo was so gorgeous! A large, multi-petal flower in a maroon color, with white tips on the outside petals.

There were some pretty Dwarf Cannas, too, and more Lillies and Begonias ... Oh, I'm going to be busy this year!

Question One more question!

Tell me the difference between Annuals and Perennials!

Annuals grow back each year on their own, right?

Are all bulbs annuals?

Are all seeds perennials?

Am I spelling perennials correctly?

Oops! That's more than one question!

Kelly....Annuals have to be re-planted every year. Perrenials will come back year after year.
