That is so neat that you can plant flowers at a grave. The one where both my sets of grandparents, and my brother are burid, and the same one where my parents, and other brother and sistsers will all be buried do not allow planting.

And during the mowing season, all flowers must be removed on a Friday or they are thrown away. But, we are permitted to put anything on the grave. Artifical flowers, fresh flowers, and they don't have to be in the urn, they can also be set on the headstone. My brother's fiance has even put balloons on his headstone at his birthday/death date.

Well this in interesting. If we aren't to walk on the graves then do they mow over them? Or is it a special low growing grass?

I think if a plant is a biennial, that reseeds itself, it would be a good choice. Then it would be seasonal.
