How do you compare?

A friend sent me this like to the USDA Food plans for 2009, it shows 4 different budget levels for food across different family sizes.

How does your family's budget measure up?

For a family of 3 we spend less then the frugal monthly amount on this schedule. My budget includes more then just food.

I honestly don't know! I am still trying to stock up since we moved. I think we are in the moderate.

Wow, I came way under way under and that still would be adding DS breakfast and lunch money for school. I don't cook fancy, but I think we eat well.

Interesting to see the updated rates but I'm still at half of the thrifty plan but I buy on sale and use coupons plus the kids eat breakfast & lunch at school which I don't include in the grocery budget nor DH & my occational lunch out and dinners out. If I included the meals out and at school we would be close to the $600 for a family of 4 but that would also include paper & cleaning products, personal heigine and dog food.
