Planned tonights dinner. Will make ahead tomorrow nights dinner. I had planned my menus. Dh and I went to the farmers market on Saturday. I got a few good deals on some fresh veggies. So I will change my meals around a little. Want to make sure we use the fresh stuff up while it is fresh and nice.
Frugal today is no heat. No dishwasher or washer and dry running. Packed lunch from leftovers. Not much else going on here.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1
You reminded me of something... now that gardening season is over and fresh tomatoes are not to be found I bought diced tomatoes in the can and used that in our burrittos after I drained the water off them, the taste was so much better than the baseball tomatoes at the store now with no flavor and the "high price" of those tomatoes since we are out of season. Next year when we plan our garden, there will be at least triple the amount of tomatoes planted and I will dice and can my own for winter use in things like the burritto's.

Anna, you're right about the tomatoes, I bought some from Aldi and they ARE like baseballs! Again, I wish I had put in that garden this past season! But I like your idea on using the canned tomatoes, I will remember that.
Charlotte, good for you on no heat usage expected today. And it's great that your farmers' market is still running this late in the year.
Navywife, you got a lot of food out of that beef, sounds to me like a great deal.
I was supposed to take Rachel to St. Louis to visit a college but I really cannot afford that trip. It'll be $100 easy once we get gas, etc. and that money has to go to her passport which we are finally going to go order today. I don't see the urgency in visiting this college, she's not going to it for another 2 years! But I can't get it thru her that we have time to check it out. She's a little miffed at me but she's going to have to get over it. I had taken a vacation day...and am going to still take it. I have a bunch of things that need to be done and am going to use this as a mental health day, lol!
My frugals planned:
All meals from home,
Take down Halloween decorations
finish Fall cleaning
run a few small errands and plan out the route beforehand so as to not waste gas.
Make brownies.
I guess I better wake Meg & Alyssa, will check in often!
That was funny Anna I loved the comment about too much zuchinni!
My church does 90-100 lbs of noodles a week during "the season" Anna so if you need some help let me know.
I've used canned chopped tomatoes in place of fresh on tacos and they worked out well and so much cheaper than buying them at the store. Will get some more coupons from my Sister and get 10 more cans this week for $.29 each. I'm so disapointed in my garden this year didn't get near the yield as it should have given.
DD2's temp was 100 this morning so hopefully she is on the mend and it doesn't jump up again. She ate & drank well yesterday so I don't think she is real sick just the temp and cough. But she sure did like getting 4 popcycles in one day LOL.
I'm relaxing with a cup of mocha carmel cinnamon coffee with a splash of milk and sugar made at home. LOL DH says it isn't coffee since he drinks his black with sugar.
Hello, ladies!! It's been forever since I've posted. I ended up getting knocked down with the flu, and it wasn't pretty. That was over a week ago, and I'm just now starting to feel like myself again. Ugh!
Patrice--
I agree about the house--that one just wasn't meant to be. Things have a way of working out though. And Lea's costume was great!
Connie--
Sounds like a lot of exciting things going on for you! Hope all goes well with the move. I am thrilled for you!
Lisa-
Glad to hear things are going better with your ds. And cute pics of your daughters!
I know there were a billion other things I wanted to comment on, but my brain is just not up to full speed yet either, lol!
Frugal here: cold water wash, did some meal planning/cooking, packed my lunch and RESTED! I'm considering that frugal because I am not productive at all when I'm sick, so rest is important!
Have a great day, ladies! And I just can't believe it's already November!
Roberta - glad to hear about the reduced fever
Lisa - glad to hear about the church going well
I got a mattress for the bed, $125 and a pad to help it out, $50. A new Serta would've been $499 and we don't use this bed that often but it needed help
"Found" more socks by matching up what I could scrounge in the house. Socks are definitely a nemesis in the housecleaning realm for me.
Got my car IN THE GARAGE! Laughed at my neighbor pulled over to the curb in the morning rush, she had to scrape off the frost and I didn't. Took me two weekends to get it in. Had hubby take pix of me and the little dog (with her head out the window) driving into the driveway, up the hill, and into the garage. Even put up the little tennis ball thingie that hangs from the ceiling to tell you when to stop driving into the garage....

Not frugal today or maybe it is whatever way you look at it, I have to make a trip to Costco. It really has been at least 4 months since I've been there. Not bad for TP lasting that long!
Chris glad you are feeling better and Robertad good news that your dd temp is down.
Laurie, I'd have never made it that long TP wise, lol! If it's been 4 months since you've been to Costco, it'll be frugal in the long run going there and making it last, right? (I'm trying to rationalize for you).
Chris, I'm so sorry you had that flu. Rest is the key I've seen, just in my girls. They had the cold/flu and still have congestion coming up when they cough. Happy to read you are feeling better though.
Ellen, a great big you go girl on getting the car in the garage~! I wish I had one of those, lol, would be nice not having to scrape ice in the winter!
Girls are dropped off at school and I'm getting ready to exercise, then attack the rest of the house, want to wash walls, unclutter my bedroom, again, clean my bathroom super good, straighten up the rest. Then I'll be content.
Thanks Roberta, it's one of those things I've wondered about how to do it and this book is very helpful. When the church makes them, what do they store them in? I don't have alot of canning jars since my friend forgot to give them to us when we were at her farm and it's not looking too promising to get back out there this year. I think this long term could be very frugal and probably healthier for us making it homemade than from store bought stuff.
Oh and on the little Paul Harvey thing... I loved the zuchini part of it too, sure wish my neighbors had done that to us. I am for sure planting that next year. Squash too, hopefully by them I'll have all that goat milk made up into soap.

Anna, They dry them 24 hrs on tables with table cloths on and have fans running at each end of the hall and they flip them over after 12 hrs. It is an amazing site to see 90-100 lbs of noodles laid out in the hallway.
If they are for the festival or church dinner they just store them in clean egg cardboard boxes lined with white table clothes. If they are for sale which is what they are making them now for they put one pound in a plastic zipper bag. They sell them every fall by pre-orders and have been making them the last several weeks so I'd guess they had orders for 300 pounds or more. Which will be a nice little bonus for the church's general fund.
I did find out why my noodles never looked like church's, they put a little bit of yellow dye in with the eggs which makes them much nicer looking.
