Kathy, I slowed down when I got back from church. I worked on coupon club stuff, had lunch, and worked on my new crochet project while watching QVC to see if there were any gifts I could find. One maybe. That is it, and one I would like to have for myself. Maybe. Both I will be looking for cheaper in the stores here in this area. I also but all the red plastic newspaper bags I have been collecting and attached them together, and rolled that into a ball.
And then after about 18" on my project, I noticed that what I was doing, no matter how beautifully impressive, was not what the pattern called for. So, I am ripping it apart. Actually, I clipped the end, and started again. I will be ripping it out to use it as I go along, before starting any of the yarn I had not used before. Oh well, live and learn.
Lisa, great pics, and really great news about Dan. Prayers for him are starting to work. I will continue to keep him in mine.
Cau, I had had seen advertisements for these phones on tv. I am glad someone was able to take advantage of it.
Well ladies, better go for now. I have some more ripping out that I want to do this evening.
Connie, I'm just so happy for you, all things are just falling into place aren't they? Wonderful!
Roberta, hope your dd is back to her old self soon! We went thru that last week.
Well, my son DID go to church today and did like it, was interested, commented on the sermon. My pastor is a younger man too, early 30's and really relates well to the younger adults. He also said he wanted to go again next Sunday. Not pushing, just going along. He's out helping my brother now, then he'll be brought back to mom's house. He will stay with her and he knows this.
Frugal was all meals made at home, laundry done, was just nice to be home after church and relax.
I'm off for the night folks. Thank you so much for the prayers, they are so greatly appreciated.
Lisa, sounds like he may be turning a corner!
Roberta, I hope your dd's fever goes down and she feels much better tomorrow. You are doing all the right things.
Pam, I hear you! I am sick of laundry right now, too. Good job on putting together your meals...they sound delicious as always!
Connie, so happy for you! Please keep us updated!
Mish, I'm sorry you feel sad. Hope this week brings you happy things.
Patti, oh, oww on the foot! That had to have hurt like the dickens. Are you doing okay?
Norma, sorry you had to rip out all your hard work. I can understand as I have to do that at times, too. What are you making?
Frugal this weekend has been sticking around at home. Tomorrow I plan to make dough for pizza and maple glazed cinnamon buns. Need to plan out meals for the rest of the week. I did get half the paperwork finished. Need to do the rest tomorrow. Starting on a knitted scarf-pale pink, in a lace pattern for a Christmas gift for ds's gf. I hope she will like it. I will add a few girly things with it. The yarn was on sale for half off at Hobby Lobby. I also need to purchase some baskets to put little things in for Christmas. A mix of store bought items and some homemade ones. Nothing fancy.
Well, I am going to go read for a bit. Take care my friends, and I will talk to you tomorrow!
Jamie.
Wow Cheryl that is alot of kids... they must have the word out your neighborhood gives out good loot, LOL!

Good job on the water saving I'm still using mine out of the sink mostly and put full jugs around the compost so the rain doesn't wash it away.
Frugal today? Dh and I tried to see if we could fix the brakes on the Caddy, we had the Chilton book and dh was hoping it was broke in a good place but of course, NOT! It has at least one rusted line that is leaking, maybe 2?? We called our friend that is retired and at first he said without a bay he couldn't do it, then rethought and called dh back and said he'd. come over and look at it. We told him money is really tight and we didn't know when we'd. be able to afford to get it fixed, he said no problem, he'll take payments if we paid for the parts so it's at his house now being worked on. What a nice friend he is, he said he's seen it too with people struggling financially that work hard every day. So once again, God is sending his blessings down to us there are days that are so discouraging then God's light shines down on us and makes us remember our blessings.

So glad to hear your ds went to church with you today and loved seeing the pictures of the girls, your house sure looks neat and organized.

Hope you can stop back in soon... did you get my emails? You all must be out hunting now. I think my friend Neal and his brother got squirrels today, they were over there cleaning something and I'm too squeamish to get up close to see what they were doing.
We watched a good movie from Netflix this evening Nicholas Cage who is one of my favorite actors in Lord Of Wars, very good movie.
Well I better close this and tidy up before heading to bed.

Roberta, sorry to hear your dd is sick. I hope she feels better soon.
Lisa, great news about your ds! I will continue to pray for him.
Connie, I am so happy for you!
I have done quite a lot of cooking today, and I am ready to put my feet up and read the newspaper. I am waiting for the kettle to boil to have a cup of tea with the ginger crinkle cookies I baked this afternoon.
Sleep well, my friends.

What a wonderful thing, Grandbabies...
DH cooked his "Golden Beef today, after we got home from church. He hovered over the stove during half times... I really can't eat beef, but I took one itsy bitsy bite and it was very good. Two sons, dil and dd all had their filll, along with oven roasted potatoes, tossed green salad and italian bread. We still had enough sliced beef for hubby and daughter to make sandwiches for lunch tomorrow. Plus, youngest sone has to go to work at 11pm tonight and he took enough beef home for a sandwich or two. So I guess we got DH $17.++ worth out of the meat. Dinner for 5 and at least 5 sandwiches for lunch. Could not go out to a restarunt and feed them for that price. It was cheaper than our Traditional Christmas Dinner of Standing Rib Roast.
I went to Wal-Mart after church. Got the things on my grocery list that I forgot or the commissary did not have. So... I am not going anywhere this week except bible study tomorrow night and help stuff envelopes at the church Tuesday.
Have a good night and great day tomorrow.

Hope you enjoyed the ramen, tuna, cheese and hot sauce I'll probably be having that for lunch today.
Happy Birthday to mom2-4 .
It's still early here, 6:36am so not quite sure what I'll be doing today?? I want to crochet a few more Christmas patterned dish rags, I hope to go to our mall this coming weekend to stock a few things and check out our booth since they fired my friends not sure if the girls working there will straighten my booth up.. customers shuffle around the fragrance oil bottles and it can quickly look messy as they pick up and put down the bottles.
Dinner will be at home tonight, debating on standard spaghetti or thawing turkey veggie soup. One of the books I bought at the thrift store the other day is a cookbook on pastas and it includes a couple recipes for making your own pasta. Something that was useful is it tells how to dry your pasta for later use, very simple when I get motivated I'll probably use my clothes drying rack in the basement... it says it takes about 4-6 hours to dry the pasta after you cut it and then put it in a air tight container. If I did it religiously, it would probably save me around $50 a year versus buying boxed spaghetti noodles. I'd just put it in canning jars.
