Roberta,I did call dh and asked him what we should do about getting a turkey,my girls aren't big on eating the bird.Geeez!!
Anyways thanks Norma I am going to need all the help we can get.Dh is start to slowly drive me crazy,he went ahead and schelued a flying lesson after he said it would be ok for the youngest to go to gs event.Oh and i did want to have the middle dd swim on that day.I am sure somehow it will all work out.He just isn't all that involed with the kids and it is now starting to get to me even more. Not saying I am a better parent just wish he would get off his butt and help out more.
Today is my youngest b-day party.Right now we have about 4 girls maybe 5 coming for sure.Had to stop and get some stamps and then got the cake and a condolence card.
My aunt passed away.I think it was from all the compications from her diabetes.I had better get moving just glad the sun is out.

Good afternoon all!!

Barb, so sorry to hear that you won't be getting the procedure they thought would help. I hope the dr. and you come to a decision that will fix the problem once and for all. I know how long you have suffered.

Mish, can you put a calendar somewhere with all the girls' scheduled activities and make sure to review it with your dh and make sure he knows where it is to look at before he makes other plans? It might help. Get him to commit to asking about their planned activities before he makes other plans.

I went grocery shopping and came home with 6 stocking stuffers - 2 hand sanitizers, 2 containers of incense sticks and 2 glade sprays. I don't use Glade sprays (I don't do any spray well), but they were on sale for $.99 each, and I had a coupon for B1G1, so they eneded up at $.50 each.

Last night I got a call from a church that has a yearly fund raiser of a case of oranges. So I signed up again, but made sure to tell the woman that last year I didn't get the navels I paid extra for. I think someone switched the lids on the boxes.

Well ladies, I am on my way to get some more Christmas shopping out of the way. That way on those snowy and/or rainy Saturdays before Christmas when everyone else "has" to be out, I can wrap a few gifts, clean the house or bake without that "worry" that I might be missing something.

Take care all!! Norma

Happy Birthday Kathy!!! Enjoy your day.

Norma you always do so well at the grocery store.

Barb---Sorry to hear that you won't be getting that procedure done. I am keeping you in my prayers.

I've been lurking around here. Nothing really going on. Working, etc. I did go food shopping today. I only had $5 in coupons but I guess it is better than nothing. The new Giant Store openend up on Wed. I haven't been there yet as it is a ZOO!!!!! I will with for all the excitement to die down and then I will check it out.

Good Afternoon Everyone

LoriMae

Foxfire is a series of books about how folks lived in the Appachalian Mountains... right now I'm reading one of the first Foxfire books where they are interviewing a very old lady in her 80's who lives in the mountains by herself and grows and can's all her food along with whatever meat her neighbors give her (she currently is cutting up a hog in the book). It has alot of things like how to make moonshine, build a greenhouse, outside games for kids.. pretty interesting books. I was a little surprised that my library system had so many of them since most were written and produced in the early 70's.

Today has been a so so day for being frugal... we bought Subway sandwiches for lunch. I had the chicken wings for the game thinking the game was at noon, it's not till 3:30pm and I didn't have any other menu ideas easily available so we bought off the $5 menu. Dh just left to go to the post office to mail off a paper the bank needed that we acknowledge they offerred us insurance on this loan. Dh called the bank and they said we should be set up on Monday to sign on the loan. Dh is also stopping by our friend Neals store and getting windshield wiper fluid... we filled up the truck's last week, now the car needs it. Then fingers crossed... both cars are up to date on all maintenance and ready for the winter weather.

It's a beautiful day here and wished I'd been motivated to do laundry and hang outside but just wasn't into it today... I think we are to have nice weather again tommorow so I'll wash this evening and hang out in the am.

Barbzy

I am sorry to hear that your plans for the surgery have changed and hope that you can get something done next week, that would really tick me off too.

Happy Birthday Kathymac !

Anna

Took dd1 coat shopping and picked up a coat, dress for a school dance and black skirt/white shirt for the choir concert with two pair of hose. Now she has 2 dressy dress outfits most of which was on sale.

Had leftovers for lunch and took a nap still working on bagging my Avon shipment and need to get to the grocery later.

KATHY - Happy birthday to you - Happy Birthday to you.....and many more!!!! chachacha........
Yes the Fresh Market still has free coffee. Small cups - but you can get all you want while shopping.

LEASMOM - best of luck with the house.

BARB - Hope you and Dr. find a good conclusion to all this. HUGS

FRUGAL today - went back to Kroger this AM (bad girl..bad girl!). I got a bag of oranges that were on sale, and a boneless pork loin for 1.37 lb.! Didn't have any Thurs. when I went. Also got 3 - 1/2 gal. jugs of choc. milk for .50 each!! We don't usually drink choc. but it will be good in coffe, shakes, hot choc., making choc. pudding, even cereal. I may try to freeze a couple if I can find room. Only spent $13.
OK, I have to be done shopping for quite a while. Stockpiling was done in early Oct., I just keep finding deals to ad to it. Enough is enough!!! Hopefully all I will go out for this month is maybe to Dol. Tree for food pantry donation of non-food items.
Came home and worked in the yard. Cut down a 15' row of peonies. Cleaned out the big flower bed out back and got everything bagged up. Raked the leaves into 2 huge piles. If no company tomorrow I will go out and mulch them on garden. Cleaned out the big bird bath and got the heater out and installed, but not plugged in yet. Opened the greenhouse vents for fresh air in there. I have a bloom on my tomato plant!!!!! WOOHOO.
My body is soooo tired and achy. Dinner will be simple. Hotdogs and chips! All other meals from home today.
It is absolutely gorgeous outside. Around 70 and sunny with a light breeze. Supposed to be even better tomorrow - then back to fall weather!

Hope the remainder of your weekend is wonderful!!!!!

Haven't left the house, had a cough and stomach problems. Will get myself together to deliver coupons to a friend, then go to the bluegrass music tonight, cost $1 for a donation.

Thanks Anna, it sounds interesting. My Supervisor (who has become a good friend to me) has a sister that lives up in the Mts. about 15 miles from the Canadian border in Eastern Washington and Chris calls her The Mt. Woman. She grows her own food, hunts it and takes care of what she kills. Has an outhouse and no TV reception! Does have a phone though. LOL

It is storming here and I love it!
