Anna, were you able to find out if Amanda has an email address for Jean? All I know is she lives in Virginia, wish we knew her last name so we could get her phone number to do a check up call.

Frugal was dinner at home and making brownies for dessert. Also printed some coupons online that I can use next shopping trip. Doors and windows will be open today with 83 deg. expected. Should be a nice day to sit on the porch and read. I have a library book due Thursday that I need to get with it and finish. Tomorrow I babysit my almost 14 month old dgd, no time for reading then, she is a busy little bee.

In a couple weeks we will be going to visit dh's parents, they live a couple hours from here, I found a Panera Bread near where we'll be, hope to get to go there.

No I haven't heard from Amanda or Tammy yet hopefully soon.

More frugal today: Ran out of my favorite window cleaner, no car so I used good old frugal back up... Vinegar and Water, smells awful but does the trick and no money spent. I used newspapers to clean the shower glass doors.

The appraiser will be here Thursday morning at 9am so just a little over 24 hours to get the house spic and span, top to bottom for a 5 minutes walk through.

Addendum: I just checked my emails and Tammy (Ajrsmom) did email a note to Jeandeanette telling her we were all worried and if there is anything we can do to help, to let us know.

Got a good buy on a frozen turkey today 44 cents pound. They were mostly twelve pounds not bad for the price. The people at walmart were buying them up as fast as they put them out. Only two to a customer which was fine. Even the pumpkins were half price.

Anna.... I know a few people that have home equity loans since the rate is so low. Some helped buy there cars that way.

Still have plenty of tomatoes and peaches that I had froze a few months ago. Laugh when another package shows up in the other freezer.

Hii It has been a good day so far. DH and I went to the church and helped stuff envelopes, telling about our stewardship programs and our building fund pledges, this morning. It was a good time of fellowship and nice to know we helped get a task done for the church. There are so many ways we can all help our churchs.

I enjoyed bible study last night. I took some pumpkin cupcakes to share last night. We don't normally have snacks at B. study. I told our associate pastor I was there to feed the hungry. Everyone thought that was great and dug right in.

We came right back home this morning. did not stop at Kroger, Wal-Mart or somewere for lunch. Which is frugel. Do not plan any trips out this afternoon or tonight.

I have ground beef out and plan on making a pot of chili for dinner, along with a pot of rice. We had Crockpot chicken and dumplings for dinner last night. It was easy, filling and a family favorite, same as chili. I love easy, fast and good. I especially love it if there is not alot of dishes to do after dinner.

Not much else going on here so have a great day.

NORMA - so glad Mrs. T made it thru surgery. Hope all goes well. We wrote a check today for prop. taxes as well. UGH. I hate writing big checks.

MISSIBOB - I too will ad your sister to my prayer list. I know you both must be scared.

JACKI - that's it - rub it in about the temps!!! haha. Tomorrow's high here is supposed to be in 40's! BBRRRRR

FRUGAL today - cut the front grass. Cleaned out the front flower bed and bagged all the stuff up. Drained 1 rain barrel and put away. Have 1 left to do. Have 10 gal. of water in greenhouse. Fed the critters and took down and cleaned the squirrel feeder jar. Swept the patio, back walk, and deck of leaves.
Anna I too dried a loaf of bread today for Thanksgiving. Going to do another tomorrow.
All meals from home. Made salsa chicken tonight to go with leftover cheesy potaotes. Didn't leave, so no money spent.

Need to cut and rake out back - but waiting for the remainder of leaves to fall. Won't be long.

Hope you all have a cozy evening.

So just trying to watch the money.I did get my haircut and eyebrows done.Had 1 card full so the haircut was free and it was only about 13.00.

Not much going on here. Dgd is still home, fever on and off, cough and sore throat, hopefully it ends soon. We figure better to be safe rather than sorry. I went to Kroger , spent $42.00 and saved almost $20.00 , not to bad

Good evening all.
Dh had our windshield looked after last week as there was a leak on the driver's side of the car at the top of the window, sort of. It cost $35.00 to have some sort of caulking put on it. Today we had hail!! and it leaked through that window again. He is taking it back to the glass place tomorrow to see what is going on, this is a pretty new vehicle.
Got a cute little kit from Purina for the little pup, Mocha. When my dd got the pup, I put her name into their website for the freebie. It is really good, with a coupon for free dog food, a little heart to hang on her collar and a file folder, nicely marked for keeping her papers in (vet, etc.). Was very pleased with the freebie.
Glad to see that someone maybe able to be in touch with Jean.
I have tried numerous times to change my profile picture, and I can't. I don't think I am doing anything incorrectly, is anyone else having any problems with this?
Time for bed, good & tired tonight.

JoAnne

Joanne

I wish I could help with this but haven't done mine for awhile. I see the photo of Mocha is that the one you wanted or a new one?

It's very chilly here this morning, in the 40's I think? I was so tired last night dh and I ate dinner and went to bed by around 7pm... woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed at 2am . I did manage to get back to sleep but Oh what a long hour or so till I did. I have more housework today, have to sweep the floors again (just did it night before last) as the dog hair just seems to come back over night with Katies bushy hair. Then mop all the floors and work on crocheting so we have something to take to the mall with us this weekend. Mainly it's a evaluation trip to see if they are straightening my booth like they are supposed to do without my friends working there.

We are going to try to go to a different shop in another small town east of here in the next month to see what it is like and get info. on becoming a vendor there... should be able to get a good feel for their store this time of year and going in on "down" season Jan/Feb/Mar there should be some openings.

Oh and Sueanne

Thanks for the info. on the equity line.. I hate doing this but we just keep getting set back with car repairs, vet bills, etc. and though the Vet credit card we have is handy the interest rate is shocking!
