Redners has chicken thighs and legs on sale this week for .88lb for the family packs. I will get several packs and break them up into smaller packs. This is a great way to stock up the freezer.
The also have there Roasters and young whole chickens for .98lb. I might get a few of them also. These are the right size for a rotissery on the grill.
Wow! You all have been finding some really good bargains. RobertaD that is a excellant idea on the salad dressings for the fundraiser.

Geez... I can't ever remember our stores doing a 1 cent sale. They don't even do BOGO Free anymore. Krogers has been running 98 cent sales just about every week so I closely watch those and stock up. This week they are running the same sales as when I originally posted Half Gallon OJ 98 cents and same with the eggs. Also 12 oz. pkg. of cheese for $1.00 as part of their 10 for 10 sale, so I'll be adding some of those to my freezer. I am pleased to see dairy products down in price, I can remember last year milk being over $4 a gallon across the country.

I got four quarts of strawberries for 99 cents apiece at Kroger. That night, we had strawberry shortcakes for dessert. I cut up one quart for snacking, and the rest I cut up and froze for later use.
My best deal this week was Breyer's Ice Cream, purchased on the Triple Coupon Sale, had $.75 coupons and it was B0G1F, so cost me $.25 a 1/2 gallon. Then, I had Smucker's Topping coupons which made that free. I stored six 1/2 gallons in my friend's freezer. We will enjoy it this summer!
Roberta - great savings. I've never seen a summer like this with Breyers Ice Cream so cheap! I remember the summer of 1989, when we had a serious accident in NJ, lived in SC. All my daughter and granddaughter wanted was ice cream and it was so expensive!
I hardly even buy anything but vanilla ice cream in a plastic gallon bucket when it's on sale for $4. Of course the Breyer's isn't really 1/2 gallon anymore.
Roberta - you are right, the 1/2 gal is only 48 oz. but at $.25 a package with the toppings free, due to the Triple Coupons, it was a great deal and I'll enjoy it for quite some time.
