Goodwill is 50% off this weekend. I will be heading that way in alittle while. I havent' been for awhile. I've been really bad on the spending. but it feels good to buy something Brand New. I did get some good deals at Goody's last week. I got a pair of capri pants, purse, shoes ,shirt , panties for like $25 Not bad. and I splurged at Catos for another pair of capri pants they were like $17. and then the uniform guy came to work (I have to wear uniforms for work) I went way over my budget. but I do have some uniform pants that are to short for me(given to me for free) that I'm going to either cut off to make shorts or capri pants for work. Well happy thrify shopping and garagesales are starting in my area this weekend. I will report back on my goodies.

Hey at least shopping at Cato's can be very frugal! I have found some incredible bargains in their clearance sections. I Cato's!!

Have fun shopping at Goodwill--wish I had one.

Here are my finds yesterday at Goodwill:
shorts for dh
sweatshirt for dh
Gap carpenter shorts for ds
tank top for self
shirt for self
tablecloth
american flag bear
total around $10
Then I ventured to Biglots: box of Tom Petty cherios .99,pk of chips ahoy sandwich cookies $1,
But my best deal was at joanne fabrics I got 2 yards of flannel material and a pack of blanket binding for $6
and they werent' on sale. I gave the guy who cut my material a coupon and he said that it wasn't valid until next weekend(oops) he took it off anyways and gave me my coupon back to use again. Then When I went to the checkout I gave the girl my flyer for 50 % off an item and she asked if the other guy used it I said "NO" becaause he didn't she said she isn't suppose to give another discount but did anyways and marked my coupon as used.

My friend's find at JoAnn's

Ladies-

If your into patterns, my girlfriend was at Joann's this past week, they had selected patterns marked down from 17.00 to .99 cents... she got little girl dresses patterns, they were so cute!

I finally hit my Salvation Army store Thursday!!! I found three dust ruffles for twin beds, two matched and were still in their packages, unopened from when they were originally purchased, a celery green for $5.00 and one used, pastel colors in a random patch design for my 10 yr old's room for $1.50. I ran out of time as it was pouring rain and they needed to be picked up at school. I couldn't let them walk in it!

I need to go back now and look for some summer clothes for all 3 girls and myself. I'll let you know if I find anything good!

Goodwill & Cat Welfare

I found at Goodwill yesterday a Krups electric juicer, this isn't one of those big loud contraptions, looks like a manual juicer but zip! and your fruit is juiced and deseeded, for 2.99. We'll be using it this summer for juicing lemons for lemonade.
Found shorts & tshirts for my nephew 1/2 price .49 cents each, Oshkosh brand & old navy.
Got shorts for me, blue jean 1.99 a pair.
Coleman plug in boat spotlight which fits in our trucks dc outlet for 2.00 will use for overnight fishing to find things in the truck bed. 3 Cookbooks and 3 bags of Shoebox assorted greeting cards, about 30 for 3.00. Good finds this weekend.

GREAT FINDS. Here's my lastest finds at Goodwill this week

navy blue skort for myself,
Docker gray sweatshirt for myself
cute denim shirt with teddy bears on it for my self
2 beanie pigs for myself
total $5
teacup and sauce $1
james patterson book .50
then my dtr. had prom saturday and I found her a little black purse with a sequin design at a consignment shop for $5( i will never tell her I bought it there)
also at this consignment shop I got myself
2 pair capri pants(like new)
1 bracelet(for dd for prom)
I spent like $20 there but the stuff was a higher quality and a consignment so I expected it. but I am satified with what i got.

I recently was at the Salvation Army thrift store, it must have been a put out day, as it was packed with goodies.

Found the cutest purple plastic /sparkled cosmetic container, although the latch was broken, I will glue a button on it and use a rubber band to close it. Just what I needed for my purple bedroom to use as a jewelry container. Only $.70 .

I am always searching for used doilies, but none to be found that day.

Wishing every Mom a Happy Mothers day on sunday

Joy

Joy - good find. That's a good idea about the latch - would of never thought of that. Thanks for sharing.

I went to the Army Wed with my mom. Got a throw for $3.00.
I ended up spending $80 on clothes. Well my mom and I combined our order - she gets a senior discount. So it was like $40 each - I got a nice pant suit for $5 - and a bunch of short sleeved shirts - just in time for my trip to NYC and California in July. Found a glass vase that I needed for 99¢ but it was half price.

Went to Volunteers of America and got a pair of 9 west shoes for $1.50 - hardly worn.
