Beckri--we'll do that sometimes, too. At the deli here, it's just as cheap to buy the cooked chicken as it is to make one at home. So while dh goes and gets the chicken, I'll make instant potatoes and a salad and voila! Dinner for $5

My fav. cheap place to eat at is Cracker Barrel. my dh and I can eat for around $7.00. Since today was our 26th Wedding Anniversary though, we splurged and it cost us a whooping $11.15 for breakfast since he works overnights it was easier to go out for breakfast than to try and go out for supper.

Happy Anniversary, Iris!! 26 YEARS??? That's amazing--I've only been married for 6 and it already feels like forever. In a good way, of course. We usually drive up to Frankenmuth for our anniversary and we always get breakfast at Cracker Barrel. I just love browsing through the gift shop there!!

cheap eats

here in Illnois we have a place called coyote canyon,it is an all you can eat steak buffet, on fridays it is seafod night. We like to eat there on fridays because we can eat steak and seafood for 12 to adult is around 9.00 dollars and all other ages are .50 per age 11-3 and 2 and under are free. You get salad, bread, soup, meat, dessert and drinks for this price. We spend about 40.00 for the 5 of us.

Dakaremom-

Wow, that sounds like one heck of a good deal. I don't eat beef but all you could eat seafood... Oh I would be in heaven, that is a great price.

How do you eat so cheap there? When we go there it's always on the expensive
side. I love their country store though.

We eat at Bob Evans a lot with the inlaws DD1 orders from the kids meal and DD2 we still feed from what we order and get get a plate and drink for her.

The other week we went to Red Lobster with the inlaws, big splurge, saved $18 off the total as I had a $10 gift card that I earned at MyPoints and 2 $4 coupons from the paper off 2 adult meals. I ordered the 3 choice combo meal and feed the kids from my meal, we did add a lobster tail to our meals for DD1. She will be an expensive date when she growes up as she loves lobster and shrimp.

We have a Shakeys pizza here. It is similiar to the Ci-Ci's some of you mentioned.
Our Pizza Ht here has large pizza's for 7.50 on Monday nights.
Another cheap place to eat here is the China Bistro, you get rice, chowmein, an entree and a drink for $5 and the portions are huge!

hugs, train

I love eating at Golden Corral. You can eat all you want for one price. It usually costs about 5 to 10 dollars per adult.. depending on what time you go in to eat. Evening meals cost a little more, but you can get what you want & all you want..even desserts. They have a nice variety of food. You put what you want in a salad. You get free refills on your beverages. I never leave there hungry!
