Picnic & Play...

One of the best ways my girls and I have fun on a budget is to just go on a picnic to the park and bring some stuff to play with. It is great bonding time, I don't spend any more money by making the same meals I would at home and the girls and I have a great time. One important thing though I think a lot of Mom's forget is to try to make it fun for yourself too. Afterall, you have to add some fun to the group. It will make your kids have more fun too!

Have to agree....remember to make it fun for the whole family, not just the kids.

Picnics are a great idea for frugal fun!!

When my dds were younger, we had a lot of picnics - many times even just in the backyard! In the summer when it was really hot, we would have breakfast picnics. The girls would play in the playground for a couple of hours, and we would head back home before noon before it got too hot.
