I would not buy them either that is too personal of an item to use what some one else has used. Even tho' I would assume they had been washed well. But thank heaven I am out of that part of my life

Bluebird, Just curious as to what type of material you use? Someone at work was talking about her mom making them out of "potato sacks" in the "old days."

Cotton flannel. Hemp is great too. Old towels for the center for heavy pads. Crazy thing is I love to make them! I don't need them dd refuses to use them.

Sounds like you could still them for something else, maybe dusting and cleaning.
