Just think of the good you are doing, too, Northerngirl! Cleaning up and ensuring that those beer bottles don't end up smashed and under someone's tire, or in my case, in the sandy park for my kids to step on (though I've only found two bottles so far. I think I have to go to that park on a Sunday or Monday to reap the benefits of the weekend parties).

All these beer bottles i am picking thrown to the side of the road makes me really wonder how much drinking and driving still goes on.
Too true, its very frightening.
Congrats on the $42, I have been watching this thread in anticipation of the $100 celebration!

I took my earned Extra Care Bucks to CVS. I "bought" another 20 bottles of Sunsilk shampoo and conditioner and a candy bar. I paid $1.88 in tax. I will attempt to sell these at our upcoming citywide yard sale for $1.00 each. Any money I make will be "free money". I will earn another $40 extracare bucks in a couple of days.
Then I went to Staples with 2 printer cartridges. I had one of thier $3 coupons for turning in one before today. My Staples has a posted sign that says they will take up to 3 per day. I purchased the 3 items they are giving full rebates on this week. All 3 items are $2.99 and the coupons are for $3. So I also purchased a folder for $.05. The total after coupons (all 3) of this purchase was $.02. I will be getting back $8.97. One set of pens will be given to my boyfriend this evening at dinner. The mechanical pens will be given to my nephew for the upcominging school year, and the last set of pens will go to the yard sale pile. That is "free money".
Hope you are all finding some "free money" the companies are giving away. I am still looking for some more!!
I found a dime on our driveway today. I'm gogin to assume it came from a passerby and not from our own car!!
Crochet2 -- wish I could use this info -- not any good for us Canadians
Total $1.30

I live way out, no sidewalks or anything. But still love reading about what you all have done.
Norma, You are so shrewd, and clever, it almost sounds like you're "robbin em blind". But, we all know what you do is legal and an incentive from the manufacturers. so, you go girl!!!
I'm proud of you. Also a little in awe. Wish I could find these bargains.

MaryAnn it's great to see you again. I was away for awhile so I've been catching up on everyone's posts too. I was wondering how things were with you. No free money today but hubby isn't home from work yet..he usually finds a penny or 2. he puts it all in a jar I told him that I wanted to count it just to see how much he got but I haven't yet.
