Well, I'm not sure that qualifies as creative, but it covers simple & frugal joy.

I love just getting together w/ friends and sharing a meal...and conversation...especially outside.

The other day I took my 7 yr old ds and 11 yr old dd and we went to our local Art Center...where we looked at a couple of art collection displays...one of local artists pastels competition and one of a photographer....free...and then we went to our city museam...and walked through it...again free. My kids were very happy and enjoyed both. We spent time together...talking...as we went through the exhibits.

The other night the kids wanted to play outside...so about 9:30 p.m. we went outside...they played...I built a fire in the chiminea...we sat in the glider and watched the fire and roasted marshmallows...and enjoyed conversation and the night.

This might not be creative but we love to spend time at the library in the kids' room, then take out a week's worth of books at a time so that we can read bedtimes stories every night before my kids go to sleep.

I love "speciality" coffees, but they are so expensive, so one of my favorite frugal "luxuries".. I brew coffee at home and add half a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

We love picnics, even on a sunny winter day! We pack up peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and hot cocoa in the thermos and walk to the park.

Watching a movie from the library while munching on popcorn is a great treat, especially when you let the children invite a friend.

Putting puzzles together.

Building a snow family or sand castles, depending on where you live.
