Make animal shadows on the wall with your kids.

Bake cookies

Drink hot cocoa with lots of marshmallows

Take a walk in the brisk air with the kids and then cuddle under a blanket to warm up when you get home

Take pictures of each other acting silly and upload them to your computer. Use the pictures as wallpaper for your desktop.

Sing silly holiday songs or songs that your kids learn in school.

Browse for freebies on the Internet that you can send away for. I love getting stuff in the mail!

Send out a bunch of ecards to your friends "just because". Spread some smiles!

Using coupons to make the food free in the grocery store (the store 2 miles from me triples coupons every day up to $.99). Then, I donate it to a new Community Center in which my best friend is involved. I'm the only one who donates to the food pantry!
When my granddaughter was small, we attended a free symphony at the local Univ. by their beautiful lake every Thurs night, took a picnic dinner and she loved it. Years later, she moved to a new home with her parents, didn't remember her address. I said, "Remember that each summer the first symphony the Univ played at the Music by the Lake was the "1812 Overture". That is your new address. "1812 ...".

We attend free events - our library offers a lot of different activities and in the summer our town offers free outdoor concerts and our high school has free outdoor movies every Friday night. We also hike and take walks.
