Theresa, you need to invest in a kerosene heater. We have one. When it gets to be below zero we light it for a few hours ionthe evening so the furnace isn't working so hard.

We ended up buying a portable heater when the furnace was down...and it was great as long as you stayed in the one room...may just have to buy some more of them for next winter...
Still fighting pneumonia,I can't believe I still have it from January...ah tomorrow is another day...hugs to everyone...
