Did anyone ever have a friend so wonderful that you thought you would be friends forever? Like a friend for a season of your life...

peace,train

Seasonal Friends

I always had very close friends all my life. Find now that we are older they are not the same people. Seem to get annoyed more quickly and want to know all your business.
They feel that since you are such good friends they are offended if you do not trust them to know everything. Some things are better not said even to friends. Sueanne

I have a few good friends...
One is my neighbor and we do not think alike about a lot of things so if we go away we know to do it in short time frames, or have other things to do w/o the other. We respect this about the other, that is why we have remained friends.

I have another I have been friends w/ since grade school, recently she really hurt me. I am not sure why...I even was point blank w/ her...I got no excuse....I am not sure what to do but we have been friends for so long I am sure we will work it out. She has tons of friends and family so it would be no big loss to her.

My third one is someone I know only via the internet, and mail. We met way back when internet was in it's infancy, we have stayed friends since. We can't get on each others nerves too much and we are very open and so far no problems...I thank God for her every day.

I thanks God for all my friends every day but I am not a social butterfly.

Forever Friend

I certainly do have a forever friend. She lives on the West Coast and I live on the East Coast! We met online 3 yrs ago in a Christian chat room...first time chat room going for both of us! We started out chatting, then writing email, and then, phone calls. This lovely woman and I are now like sisters; and in fact, she came to visit us for 2 weeks 2 years ago; and is planning another visit this coming summer! We are here for each other...be it a shoulder to cry on or wonderful news to share. This woman is so very special; I call her my earth angel; and she has certainly lived up to that name in every way! I could not love Lindy more if she were my twin; and in fact, even tho we look nothing alike, we are so very much like twins in every other aspect. I have other friends, but none as special as this dear mutually adopted friend/sister. I can only wish for you all, the same love and friendship I found in my earth angel!

Hapiladi,
you are so blessed...
my internet friend and I are both on opposite coasts too. I have not had to the money to go and visit since I am in grad school and she lives in a small town in Or. She doesn't like to travel....You are luckey to have met your friend in person...I did my friend's mother when she came for a reunion one year.

I've been blessed to have a "forever friend". Jackie and I have known each other since kindergarten - we're both almost 49 years old now. I remember us becoming real close in 7th grade (even though we both vied for first chair flute throughout most of high school!). We went off in separate directions to college, and didn't keep in touch real well. But, we're good enough friends that no matter how long it is between our get-togethers, it's like we've never been apart. We've laughed and cried on each other's shoulders....We've buried family members, raised our kids....

Unfortunately, we only get to see each other a couple of times a month now, never for any great length of time but we know that the few times we do get to visit , we just pick up where we left off. There's no awkward moments - it's like we're together every day except we're not. She's the most precious friend I've ever had or will have. I know that if we both live to be 80, we'll still be very precious to each other and that we we'll continue to care for each other unconditionally.

friends

I always have had a hard time making friends. I have been to 11 differant schools in two sates so I taught myself not to get to close. My best friend in the whole world is my huband Chris. I have two other friends One I went to Highschool with for two years. We both have children the same age. She has two girls and I have a boy and girl. Then there is my kindred spirit. She has the same name as me (Jennifer) her daughter is in the same grade as my little girl and then there are our sons Both named (Jonathan) We were ment to be friends.

This is for my best friend Shaunna....

Sometimes in life,
you find a special friend;
someone who changes your life
by being a part of it.

Someone who makes you laugh
until you can't stop;
someone who makes you believe
that there really is good in this world.

Someone who convinces you
that there is an unlocked door
just waiting for you to open it.

This is forever friendship.

When you're down,
and the world seems dark and empty,
your forever friend lifts you up in spirit
and makes that dark and empty world
suddenly seem dark and full.

Your forever friend gets you through
the hard times, and the sad times,
and the confused times.

If you turn and walk away
your forever friend follows.
If you lose your way,
your forever friend guides you
and cheers you on.

Your forever friend holds your hand
and tells you that
everything is going to be a-okay.

And when you find such a friend,
you'll feel happy and complete,
because you need not worry.

You have a forever friend for life
and forever has no end.

I have a couple of very special forever friends, one I lived across the street from in elementary school, she moved before we started jr high but we keep in touch by phone and mail and the internet we do see each other every couple years, but last year was the first time our spouses met we have always gone to visit was just the kids. they hit it off great, even though we live some distance apart (Louissiana, and Utah) we still have a special bond and know whenever we need a sholder to cry on or just grip to about things we're not that far apart.
The other one I have known since jr high school we went through the liking the same boy and the ups and downs of dating then when we both got married we were is each others wedding line, she has resently move to washington but we still keep in touch to, in this day of age with the internet and telephone (cell Phones) with free weekend minutes we can keep in touch really easy, I have had alot to deal with the last two years and I am very thankful for my forever friends I don't think I would have made it with out them.
I do have another forever friend and he has been my major support for 16 years and I don't ever want to know what I would do without him it is my husband, we have gone through allot together and it has just made us stronger he is my soul mate and my forever friend and partner.

A SPECIAL FRIEND

Hi! Everyone!

I do not have a 'childhood friend', but I do have several valuable friends that I have known for over a quarter century. I value those friendships very highly. We have been best of friends in every sense of the word. One lives 1,000 miles away..the other 2 live in my own locale. I also have very 'special' Internet friends also. We have been here for each other through thick and thin. I have written a poem to express these sentiments.

A SPECIAL FRIEND

A beautiful year comes to an end
Where day and night help to blend
Four beautiful seasons of glee
With fortunes for you and me

Our time together is limited it seems
I often see your face in my dreams
As moments linger day after day
Wondering if God planned it this way

Even when the miles pull us apart
You lay in a 'special' corner of my heart
True friendship will never betray
And the precious moments never stray

As another season peaks into view
Hoping our 'special' friendship is true
God protects my friend this I know
Here is believing our friendship will grow
