Looking for Friends

Hello everyone. I am new here. I just want to meet some new friends and have others to talk to. I am a single mom of one. He is a nine year old boy. I start college soon. My son, for now, lives with my Mom.

Welcome Katy81! Getting an RN degree is a good job choice. A friend of mine is going back to school for her RN as a career change.

Kids are a joy (most of the time, LOL)! I have two, a DS, 12 and DD, 8.

Katy, again, welcome to FC. I too am a college student majoring in psychology. I have been going to college for 3 years and have one degree in Criminal Justice and am an honor student. I have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. I agree with everyone. I have been here a year and have found there to be a bunch of wonderful people at FC. I have even found some with interests. So, you should find friends who are interested in the same things that you are in.

Feel free to ask anything if you need it. I know that nursing is a difficult major. They do not allow you to make mistakes there as it could cause a patient his/her life.

Good luck!

Welcome katy81.
Wonderful that you are going back to school.
I have grown children and am a grandma. I have one grandson and eight step-grandchildren. And two step-great-children.
I have only been here since June but have found everyone on these boards to be wonderful people.

Hi there!

Welcome Katy81 and good luck in your studies. Your family should be so very proud of you for your efforts to improve their futures. Not an easy choice but so very rewarding. I'm a SAHM with a very energetic 7 yr old son. Disabled 10 years ago, I'm blessed with a DH who stands by and supports through all.
You'll find a very diverse group of women here, caring and kind. Always ready with a helping hand and warm smile. So, welcome and keep us posted on your progress in school. We're all rooting for you! I'm always looking to add new friends to chat with, so if you're interested.......just drop me a note!

Welcome!!!

I have replied to another post I have seen of yours too. Hope I can help.
Congrats on going back to school!!!! 2 days ago I went to an information meeting at the college in my area for becoming an RN. I am very excited and will probably start next year, but maybe take a few general classes until that time. I am a little nervous about the clinicals. Here, I would be able to do them in 1-2 years, but they require about 50 hours a week!! AAHHH!!! But, it will be well worth it.
I am 25 (almost 26, but I am in complete denial about that). I am a SAHM, my DD is 3.5 and my DS is 2. I've been married to DH for almost 6 years. Got my hands full.
If you ever feel like chatting, just PM me. I have had some similar experiences in life, just maybe not to your extent.
Again welcome!!!
