You may now choose from a number of preselected avatars that you may use. It will display just below your user name on your posts (to the left, NOT in your signature file!).
To try them out, click the USER CP button at the top of the page, then click Edit Options. At the bottom of that page, you will see a place to choose an avatar.
Some avatars require a minimum of only 20 posts, while others are reserved for members who have 200 or more posts. So keep posting so you can choose from a wide variety!
If you are having trouble getting an avatar to work, you may have chosen one that you don't qualify for yet. That are several sets of avatars, some that require only 20 posts before you can choose it, but others that require 30, 50, 100, and even 200 posts. So if you have trouble, please feel free to send me a private message or email me with the avatar you were trying to upload and I will take a look.
1) click the USER CP button at the top of the page
2) click Edit Options
3) Scroll to the bottom of the page. The last option before submitting the modifications is "Avatar". Below the word Avatar, there is a link that says "More info..." click that link and you will see the avatars to choose from. When you find one that you like, click the button that says "change avatar".
4) you will be taken to a page that will allow you to choose the avatar that you want. It will only display 25 avatars per page, so you can look at the end of the avatars to see if there is a link to more pages. Click the check box of the avatar you want and click the button at the end that says "Submit Modifications".
That's it, you should be all set! You can change your avatar again at any time. Enjoy!

I will eventually add more avatars, and will add more categories too, especially for those with 700 or more posts. But for right now, that's what we have If you happen upon a source for avatars let me know. I downloaded 2,000 avatars and only selected less than 100 to upload. A lot of them were Pokemon and wizardry type things, fantasy world stuff. I want to keep to a certain theme here LOL
This is all new to me. I come here and look around but never really posted anything.
How do I get an avatar?

Any post that you make on the boards counts, as long as it pertains to something, has a subject. You can either reply to a topic or start your own thread. However, if you start your own thread, please be sure there isn't one already going.
This time, the theme is going to be autumn/Halloween so your stories need to use smilies to express as many words as possible and your story should be focused on anything that has to do with autumn or Halloween.
Members will be allowed to submit one story pertaining to a Halloween story and one story pertaining to an autumn story. Please click here to enter!
