After I get this down pat I want to learn how to use the avatars and then clip art!!!
ok, you need to do more than just hold dear.

lets go over steps again ( using this sentence... lets say I wanted to copy that sentence) follow steps:

PRACTICING>>>>>>>>
but I am laughing you were just holding down and was expecting it to do something... rmember the computer really doesn't have a mind of it's own, I know it seems like it does... and it as good as the one driving it..

like your car... it won't drive by itself... you need to press the gas petal, as well as the brakes...

but will hang in here with you as much as I can...

I am having trouble with the highlighting..if I go to the second line, the first line disappears. Is that just becasue my computer is old?

More practicing later.....train

see here I hit quote at the bottom and it quote all of your page
you find that quote at the bottome of your screen.

I cut and paste here something from what you said:
now I going to paste it into the bar at the top of the screen where you do posting
Quote:
What exactly is the difference between the 2?

and I click onto the quote button and insert what I had copy and pasted it into that bar... so I got this

Quote:
What exactly is the difference between the 2?

that the difference between those 2 quotes.

cut and paste helps you from typing things that you see that you want to save.

quote buttton at top is to quote what someone said and you want to refer to that then make a statement.

does that make sense to you?

ow you got alot of new smilies, are they wonderful...

one step at a time... and whenever you are ready.... let me know...
you are one special person to me, therefore I don't mind helping you....
we all need help from time to time, and that is what friends are for to help one another. Plus GOD did tell us to help our neighbors, you are a friend....

the least I can do...

tell Mark to stop laughing, you are learning.... for him to behave himself....

insert picture....

Deb----- welcome to Ms Bar Bar class.... if you have any questions I will see if I can answer them... I know Donna aka Trainlady would love to have another student here with her. She been sort of lonely I think... now on the other hand she may get some jealous since I have to share my time with others... but it be ok, she get over it.. no no... she won't be jealous, she a very sweet young lady.... and she be glad to know she has a friend on in class with her.

deb, I'm proud of you for jumping right in and asking questions.

homework assignment is to insert a few pictures on the sites I'm on or here where I can see you got it down...
this can be a very fun assignement.

  • go to post
    click to post
once you on on the post page
    go to the browse button
    click it
when you do you will get your document where you pictures are store or go to the folder than has the picture you wan to insert.
find the picture you wan to do.
    click onto that picture
    then click open
if your file is gif,jpg png txt zip bmp or jpeg it will go on the screen, if not then you will need to make it that way... or find one that is.
when you click onto open it will automatic go into that browser screen. then you will submit it.

Now to make it into what it needs to be.
go to where you picture file.
    click onto the picture
    a screen will pop up.
    click onto open with
    a screen will pop up
    click onto paint
you will get the picture into the paint program that will pop up
    click onto image
then click onto stretch and skew
there you set the size of your picture.
so if you ever try to do a picture and it tells you it to large you would go to that spot I just told you about
and put 50 in the Horizontal, and the Vertical boxes instead of the 100.
of if you feel it too large do that before even inserting it.
    after doing that click ok
you will still be in the paint program.
    click the file button
    hit save
your screen pop up where your document where pictures are saved at.
you see a bar that say save as type:
    click the error
a screen of seveal commands will show.
click the jpeg file and hit save
    then close the program out
go to do steps as I describe of posting a picture.

    any other questions just ask.

hope I explain that where you can understand.

Trainlady.... this is going to take some work to do..
don't expect it to do it on its own.
love teasing you...

No, It's OK, Barbar. You are right. This is WAY over my head!!!
That would take me all afternoon to read those directions and try to copy a picture!!!
I have to go back even further, for I have no pictures stored in any documents!!! Where do you find all your cute pictures? The line that read:
Quote:
If your file is gif, jpg, png, txt, zip, bmp, or jpeg......!!!!!!
really threw me for a loop!!!!

I wish this wasn't so hard.

Deb, glad to see you here!! Welcome to class!!!!!

hugs,train

Hi there craftldy!!

As far ads the avators go I know they have to be 50pixels by 50 pixels if you go to your update profile and go to change your avator under there is a place to paste the URL where you want your new one to come from or if it is on your computer there is a place to download it. After that i am lost. hope this can help....maybe our teacher Ms bar-bar has more info

As for pics I might be able to help...Is she downloading from a digital camera or scanning a pic? Our ever wise teacher has listed the how to 3 or 4 posts back if you read through maybe you can help her!! I'm home tomorrow if you want me to help her.

Good luck
hugs Debbie
