Barbar,
When I try to type something in large print AND in color I can only get it to do one or the other. How do you do both? Does that make sense?

Why can't I get the avatars to work in the middle of what I am typing?

peace,train

you want something to look like this:

you want something in large print yet you want it in color

you will write in one of those first then copy and insert it in the other again.
example in what I just wrote I wrote in big, then I copied and pasted it in the bar again using color... does that make sense?

for avatars are you talking about using the smilies... like this

I'm am so thankful I am able to help you because I you.

if that is what you are talking about again after the word I --- I clicked onto one of the smilies... if it doesn't go where I want it to go then I copy and paste it where I want it, or if I forget to do it. then click onto one of the smiles and it will be at the bottom of your page... copy and paste it where you want it

another tip for you I do my best to copy what I type onto my notepad then if it doesn't go thru for whatever reason I still haven't lost it all... sometimes I forget and I have lost everything..

hope this all makes sense to you, if not ask again....

"Copy and paste?

Do you recommend a basic computer skills book I might buy?
How did you learn?

copy and paste

click the left side of your mouse and go over a word.... the curser would be like in front of the word you want to copy...
like if the word I wanted or sentence I wanted to copy was that very first sentense my curser would be in front of click. when I hold down the left hand side it will highlight the word
once I have hilighted what I want to copy I let go
then I would click the left hand side
I would get a screen pop up
on that screen is seveal commands
would look for the one that saids copy and click onto copy take it where I want it
left click and screen pop back up and the click paste...
bingo you just copy and paste there.

hope that makes sense.

try it on your notepad.... you have a notepad
click start

ladyIris23
looking good there
what else can I help you with dear?
and you big screen comes up and you should see notepad there.

if you are still having trouble... call me or pm me when I can call you I will....

ok, you need to do more than just hold dear.

lets go over steps again ( using this sentence... lets say I wanted to copy that sentence) follow steps:

put cursor in front ofthe word Lets
right click
slice the curser over the entire phrase of (lets go over steps you should see it being hi lited
when I get to the again or the end of my sentence let go of the right side of mouse
click

screen pop up and click onto copy

take it where you want it then
right click see screen again and hit it then paste

I wish I lived closer to you to help you out..

hope this helps dear.

OH MY!! I THINK it worked!!!!! Did It work!!!??? Thanks Barbar, I needed simpler instructions....I give you permission to treat me like I am in Kindergarten when it comes to computers!!!!

ok, you need to do more than just hold dear.

YEA!! It worked again!!!! You cracked me up Barbar......but you are right!! I was just holding the right side of the mouse down waiting for it to do something!!!!!

I'll practice more later!!! Can only do so much at a time because I get frustrated.
Mark went out to buy me a soda....was just laughing too hard at me........... laughing at myself when I "got it!!!"

you got a A on your test then

I remember learning my computer. there was a person who was in India that helped me thru yahoo's personal messengers... I learn a lot from him... hopefully I can help you..

as I was taught what is given then give it unto others..
when someone bless you pass it on... so I'm feel I am ...

what is it you need to know next?

but I am laughing you were just holding down and was expecting it to do something... rmember the computer really doesn't have a mind of it's own, I know it seems like it does... and it as good as the one driving it..

like your car... it won't drive by itself... you need to press the gas petal, as well as the brakes...

but will hang in here with you as much as I can...

Hi there barbar!
Thanks so much for all your help! For now I am going to keep practicing quotes and copy and pasting. If I don't keep practicing I WILL forget!!
What exactly is the difference between the 2?
If I wanted to refer to something you say does it matter if I quote it or cut and paste?
After I get this down pat I want to learn how to use the avatars and then clip art!!!
ok, you need to do more than just hold dear.

I am having trouble with the highlighting..if I go to the second line, the first line disappears. Is that just becasue my computer is old?

More practicing later.....train
