What are your plans for the 4th of July this year?

With gas prices so high in many places, will that affect your traveling plans this year?

Are you planning on having a big get together with family and friends?

Or are you chosing to have a quiet day at home?

I plan on relaxing for the 4th. I'll find a fireworks display close by tonite and then go over and visit with my friend tomorrow. We had our cookout yesterday. What a long day! Everyone was there from 1:30pm till after 10pm. We had pork roast (a big hit! My husband didn't even get to taste it ), chicken thighs, burgers and hot dogs, beans, etc.
We turned the cookout into a surprise birthday party for my goddaughter. We got her good! We had a chocalate cake and an ice cream sundae bar. We set up a table in the driveway with 4 flavors of ice cream, chocolate & butterscotch syrup, whipped cream, sliced bananas, nuts jimmies, and various cake decorating candies. The kids had a ball!

Well I went to work at 3am this morning and got off at almost 3:30pm. Sat around until dinner and now I'm on the computer getting ready to get to bed so I can go into work in the morning.....

It was HOT today but a good day. I went to my freinds house where we surprised my mom with a birthday cake. We pulled off two surprise parties this weekend. We did good!
