If not mistaken, lindens are also known as basswood trees. I'm not sure if they are a regional tree or not. They are beautiful. There is the regular and the little leafed linden, which is what we planted.

We have little leaf lindens here too, I like their blooms and their seed pods on a little wiry stalk that jut off the leaf.

And I like evergreens of all kinds for how pretty they are in the winter.
