What plans do you have this year for Father's day?

Just wondering what everyone is going to do?

Looked at Shelby Foote's Civil War trilogy again. Could have got it last fall for $50 but didn't and now it is back to $75 again! Maybe punt and get him a PA Game News subscription and make a favorite meal of venison kabobs.

Hi Caron! We use the filet off the backbone. Cut it into 1 1/2 inch pieces, marinate in soy/garlic/veg oil and then string on sticks with sweet vidalia onion, green and red peppers.

Another way to eat venison is to take round steak and while still partly frozen, take off the silver membrane, slice into strips, pound out the strips, and marinate in teriyaki sauce. Then we thread the pounded out strips and pieces onto skewers and grill.

That sounds good Ellen! I was wondering what to do with it!

They made some breakfast sausage up for me too and I've been using in my chili.

The deer jerky went over real well. I took some to California in January, my friends husband LOVED it.

Any ideas for kids crafts that are fairly simple for a 4 year old and a 7 year old?

Sense we have a big graduation party the day before. I think Father's Day will be a clean up day. We will have all our out of town guess getting ready to go home that morning. The girls will be leaving to go to Florida for 2 weeks on vacation.

So I think dh and I will relax once in the afternoon when everyone leaves. I will make a nice dinner at home for the 2 of us.
