Hi! And hi trainlady! been trying to find you! December has been way too busy month! I had to actually clean my purse(s) out too from all the Christmas shopping receipts! Wow those are scary to look at!
My December was horrid actually. My mom passed away after 5 weeks of hospital on December 13, very unexpectedlly. Then my foster mom passed away December 30. Hows that for fun. Its been quite a blow. Hopefully things really do not come in 3's like they say. Thats too scary right now.
We had a so so Christmas, tried to do it anyways. My girls were quite in turmoil over their grandma. Our anniversary is December 20th, whatever possessed us to get married so close to Christmas I will never know! We went to Seattle for the weekend, and since it was after my mom passed it was a nice get away actually. All the family girls went to "The Nutcracker" ballet on Saturday so that was nice.
I did get a new purse at Goodwill along with my "Nutcracker" outfit that looked pretty sharp! I love Goodwill. This is a medium size purse, so I can get enough in it, but not everything! I still have to bring my "tote" size one with me to keep in car, just in case! I havent added or taken anything out that I usually carry along with me, so nothing has changed there!
I havent been online alot lately considering everything going on, so im going to go check my very unorganized mail box!!!
Take care everyone and...Bliain nua fe mhaise dhuit!!!!!
(Thats Happy New Year in Irish Gaelic!)

{{bowlergrl}}--I'm so sorry to hear of your loss! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My purse is a mess--receipts and change everywhere!! I keep meaning to clean it out, but never can find the time! Of course, I could simply turn off the computer...

Bowlergrl - (((hugs))) The first thing that popped in my mind when I read your post was "I grieve with thee" and if you know where I got it you'll know what I 'disapear' into . . . I too lost my Mom and can know some of your pain . . .

MrsManiac - Turn off the computer !?! Why ??? the purse (and receipts) can wait . . . uh I had to do the same thing to mine today as well as change out my calender . . . I went to the county court house to pay my Dad's property taxes and had to go through a metal detector. My purse went through the x-ray machine. The security guard wanted to know what the solid mass in my purse was. I dug in all 3 compartments before I found a 50 cent roll of pennies in the last one. That was it. She asked at first if I was carrying a battery . . .

He He! BLTN_mom! thats a good one! I went through that when I went to Laughlin, Nevada with rolls of nickels in my purse! And they were clear down at bottom of course and I had forgot about them as my purse is always heavy anyways! I had like 3 different flight changes cuz I was going 3 different places, by the second one, I finally took them out of purse and put them in my pocket! My hubby thought I was nuts in first place cuz they were just nickels and we could have got then there! But no!!!!! I saved them up, I was taking them! The cheapy I am! That tells you how much I gamble!

Im not sure if my other reply made it here, as I got bumped same time as sending, but I was saying, Thank you all for your thoughts about my mom. That was sweet of you to care. Talk to you all soon, have a great New Year!

Okay everyone...are our purses in better shape than last year?..lets see if any of us changed.

Here's mine: Wallet, change purse(filled with receipts, no change)
keys, gum, tictacs, inhaler, coupons in a zip lock bag, Money in a clip(why isn't it my wallet??), 4 sticks of spearmint gum,(pretty hard), 2 tylenol,(in a velvet pouch), Buck pocket knife,(small) "Buckle up "key chain...(no keys attached), a guardian angel medallion(chain is gone) and a broken watch band, (needs a pin).

My purse is actually lighter than usual..I keep thinking what am I missing???...I should check with Bowlergrl2000...she could tell me what I need.

How's your purse doing Bowlergrl? hee-hee

You are too funny Janet!!!!!! Ha Ha!!!! My purse is sitting here by me all dumped out on floor! I was looking for my "Wite-out"!!!! And where else would I look for it at, besides my purse!:p And guess what! Thats where it was! Doesnt everyone carry Wite-out in their purse? Just in case?? There was a reason for it to be in there, I just cant remember why! Everything will sit on floor now until I have to go somewhere, cuz its alot more easier to find things when its dumped out!
Have you got my postcardyet?
Where is Trainlady??? Havent seen her for awhile, maybe recovering from holidays! I know Im trying to! What a bizarre month! As you prob know my mom passed away on the 13th after a short 3 week illness, and then my foster mom passed away on the 29th very unexpectedly too!! So it was a very bad month! Kind of whizzed by in a fog! But its time to get back into the swing of things.
I was trying to see what the most unusual thing was in my besides the wite-out, and I just found a pair of those bootie socks! and my lint brush from Christmas! Oh, and a couple of postcards that didnt get sent yet, cuz of no stamps, and it wasnt yours Janet!
Any one need to borrow some wite-out or a pair of booties???????
Later friends!.........Nancy

I completely gave up my purse! I'm down to a small wallet that will fit in my pocket and a tiny phone. The only key I carry is to the vehicle I'm driving, with the house key on it's fob. I feel so liberated!
