I have been wearing more long skirts instead of shorts to protect my skin. Wish I could get used to long sleeves but it is just SO hot here in the summer.

Does anyone have linen like pants for the summertime? I havn';t been able to find any.

I bought a really pretty sundress. It's white with orangy flowers. I will wear it to both a June wedding and my August High School reunion.
I still need some sandals.

I am looking for a new wide brimmed sunhat, too.
My swimsuit still fits, thank goodness! Its a cute one too, white and orange!!! (Notice I didn't say I look cute in it, I said it's a cute swimsuit....bwahahahahaha!!!)

How about you, what do you need to buy to update your summer wardrobe?

We are attending a wedding in two weeks. I have a great black dress that I've only worn once; I checked with the bride and she has no problem with guests wearing black. It's 50's style, with a v-neck, full skirt and a crinoline. Remember those?

I also got a great pair of shoes. I don't usually wear fancy shoes, so these are a real departure for me. I can't figure out how to paste in an image, so this is the link if you want to see:

This is going to be a fun wedding. The bride is the mom of a girl who studies karate with my son, and I have gotten to know her quite well over the years.
