Tami - I have tried to adopt all these Christian ways, the best part is I don't think any of them know how irritating it can be for me but then I think of how irritating I might be to them so we all work together and try not to let these things get under our skin. By you taking the high road, it will be better for all. Someone has got to lead the way!

I think sending the gifts is the right thing. You may not be talking at the moment, but when you are old ladies, you don't want to sit in your separate retirement homes remembering the sister you loved before the "OPERATION BIRTHDAY FIASCO"!

Tami..you did right ...I could write a book on all the reasons I should never talk to my sister but I won't bother..I wouldn't give her the satisfaction of knowing how she effects me..you will never please your sister and she will always be right so just offer it up and do what you feel is right for you.. and rest knowing you did the right thing for the kids and yourself...

I will be totally honest and tell all of you that I decided to send her gift without saying anything to her because of all of the advice you have all given to me.
I really believe that "meeting" all of you over the years has helped me to become a nicer person. There was a time in my life where I would've told her exactly how I felt about the situation. Now, through getting older, having kids and meeting Amanda and all of you here, I really believe that I am a better person.
The years on earth and the friendships here in the last year have done me a good service also. I used to go in with all guns blazing but lately am learning to stop, think, and consider first. My dh tells me he cannot understand how I can even think about putting my head in a hornets nest as often and as fast as I do. LOL
