I am the oldest of four children. We are three sisters & one brother all three years apart. I am very close with my two sisters one lives near me. I talk to my other sister that lives up north every day. My sisters and I share the same interests and values so always have something to talk about.

I am close with my brother too and his family. My Mom & Dad was always was there for anyone that needed a place to stay during hard times in the family.

My Father died young at 55yrs. old. He was the most wonderful sweetest Father. We were very close with Mom she never remarried. She came from a big family that was always there for Her. She spent winters with Me in Florida until she died at 94 yrs. old.

Do you have brothers and/or sisters?
How many?
Do you get along?
Do they live close by?

I have one younger brother, a younger half sister and 5 step sisters. My brother and I get along OK I guess although being the only boy in the family he's always been spoilt rotten (attention wise, not physically) and sometimes I feel that he's not very well equipped to deal with real life situations which involve him thinking for himself. He's a great guy (currently over in Afghan again) but he doesn't have an ounce of common sense in his body! My half sister is the light of my life - I treat her like one of my own children! She's 17 now so getting a bit older but even now I can't help but think of her as a baby still!

My step sisters I don't really get along with. I don't see two of them at all and haven't for years. They're just nasty, evil people. And the other three I rarely see as well. They're OK but we had a troubled childhood together and I guess the past can't be forgotten in some cases and we're not close at all.

As for where they live. My brother is currently in Afghan, but when he's home he lives in a house he rents from us about 7 miles away. My half-sister lives about 5 miles away. My two evil step-sisters I have no idea about - think they're about 30 miles away but not really sure... The other three step-sisters I think one is about 10 miles, the other is about 25 miles and the other lives in Australia!

My hope for the future is that my children will be closer to each other than I am to some of my siblings. I hate for there to be animosity between them.
