Wondering how many of us have children in the military, what branch, and have they ever been deployed. My son is in Iraq right now. He is in the USAF, but was deployed with the Army.

I don't have any children in the military right now. But my DH was in the Navy, aboard the Trident Nuclear Class submarines, for 17 years.

Militray life is, in a way, so different than civilian life.

Can you say where your DS is at??

I have two young daughtere, ..so no military kids... And I moderated your poll to reflect that option...

But I wanted to post, and say thank you to you and your family and your child(ren).

It's the men and women of our armed forces that make the lives of my young daughters secure.

I appreciate our military families, more than I know how to espress.

Not a military Mom, but am a military spouse. Just got this from my dad (not a military guy, but proud American none the less).

Son USMC in CA finishing his training right now will be heading for first duty station soon.

My son is in the Navy....surprised that wasn't one of the choices! He went right in out of high school.. and is in his 16th or 17th ?? year now! He's a hospital corpsman, and they are sending him to school now to be an RN. He has been deployed 4 times.. always sooo hard!

I have a son in the Army has been in for about 7 yrs now. Deployed many times. I am also married to a veteran. I had 2 of my children in a Navy Hospital. One while my husband was deployed.
