Tonight DD's school was having an event at the ice-cream parlor but I'm sure that with the snow that will be cancelled.

I think we'll have a "PJ night" tonight. We will put on our cozy pajamas and have breakfast for dinner. Game time or family movie time afterward. We'll save our ice-cream money for another night that's not stormy.

We have been watching a show called How Its Made. It is really interesting to see how different things are produced.

Since getting DirectTV, we have discovered this show, too. We usually record it and then all of us will sit down after the World news and watch it together. Some of their topics are very interesting.

That is a cool show. We've also enjoyed Food Network's "Unwrapped" with the kids.

All our kids are big on shows about whales, sharks, anything like that. Shark Week is a big event around here.

Maddie and I watched an episode of How Its Made this morning. They were making shovels. She said Thats just like the one we have for the garden.
I think it is good for kids to see how things are made, even if though they show it kind of fast.

It's harder these days to be all together as the boys get older, ds1 is hardly at home, saying that dinner our night time meal is our family catch up time.
If I give ds1 plenty of warning he will make free the much bigger family occasions, g'ma birthday or cousin, easter etc
