Bunco

How many of you play bunco with your girlfriends?
For those of you that don't know bunco is a dice game you play with 8 to 12 people, normally once a month.

When I lived in the midwest, this was really popular but not so much here in California.
It was a girls night out kinda thing.
We took turns meeting at each others house. The hostess serves dinner, then we would play the game, then hand out prizes and have dessert.
It was a good excuse to get out for the night and we had lots of fun.
Any of you play?

hugs, train

I actually played once when I lived in California! I was 8 years old and I went to ply with my grandma. Someone actually backed out and I got to play and I actually won the bunco prize that night! It was a blast. I can't seem to remember how to play, I asked my husband about it one night.... And the next day we went out and bought a bunco 'kit' at Target! (on sale!) ONE day we'll play again... And we don't even have to be 60 to play!

I used to belong to a bunco group in the 1970's. A bunch of new moms (at the time) we started it to get away one night a month for girl talk, no babies, or DH's! I know we had several prizes; the top one being a $10.00 gift and it went down from there. It was always something we all looked forward to. We never did the dinner thing; just appetizers, snacks and drinks. It started around 6 or 7 (I think) and we ended between 10 and 11 that night. It was lots of fun and a inexpensive way for a girls night out (plus DH's all knew where we were as it was a group of us in the same apartment complex!) It was lots of fun from what I remember!
