We like to have game night at our house. We also have movie and popcorn nights.
We get silly and grill hotdogs then wrap smores in foil and throw them on the grill too. This is great if it is snowing and you can build a real fire.
How old is your child/children?
If they are not too big, an indoor campout with sleeping bags ( we have a dvd that is a fireplace movie and also has a campfire! Tell ghost stories or read lots of bed time stories while cuddling. Turn the heat down so that everyone has to snuggle to keep warm.
I have a whole lot more ideas but I have to work in the A.M. so I better keep it short for now. I will try to answer more tomorrow if I can sneak on the computer.

Halloween is just around the coner, so you could have a fall/Halloween birthday party. Make a little pumpkin patch out doors---hide small pumpkins in hay and let the kids find them---Get small bags and the child who can fill the bag with leaves first wins a prize----Let the kids draw silly faces on pumpkins----pitch balls at a scarecrow & see who can hit it, 1st one to make it fall wins---hide small Halloween/birthday candy or prizes out doors---toast marshmallows on the grill--Hope your daughter has a Happy Birthday!!
Inside: board games, card games, "theme days" where everyone acts/dresses/cooks according to the selected theme, baking something that involves really getting into the kitchen, like bread. Building a fort is always a blast, especially if you can fit it around the tv and watch from underneath. Have your daughter write a song, then dress up and perform it for you. Lol--be prepared to have to write one, too.
Outside: Build an igloo(you can use a plastic shoe box to make the bricks), make a snow family, color snow with food coloring and make sculpures, if the snow is clean, make snow ice cream, sledding, or even just taking a walk on a cold clear night and looking at the stars, then coming home to big mugs of hot cocoa. If it's not too cold after dark, flashlight tag is fun. And my kids' personal favorite: helping me plan the spring garden by looking through the seed catalogs we start getting in January lol!
With supervision you can do a wiener roast, campfire, and marshmellows and then get warm in a big tent with lots of sleeping bags and pillows and tell stories by flashlight.
There is something special about camping in the dark of Daylight Savings Time and also outside in the cold.
Have some of those handheld hot packs available for them to slip into their pockets and warm their fingertips.

Ellen, that is a really cool idea! My dss would love that. We could do the hotdogs and marshmallows in either our fire pit or our chiminea and we have a couple small tents. What a great suggestion!!
