Sudoko

Anyone enjoy doing Suduko puzzles?
I lose patience with them because I don't have much but I am trying to learn to do them.

peace,train

Humble Sudoku puzz;es

Hi trainlady:

I just started doing the puzzles too...so far I am just trying the easy ones. It is quite relaxing to sit and do one. I hope I can get better at them. Our daily paper puts in one a day so I am using them to learn how. The daily puzzle is a beginner level so I enjoy being able to complete them. I am getting faster at it so there is hope!!!

Hi,

I've been doing Sudoku puzzles for a couple of months -- and even got my husband hooked too.

I do the one in the newspaper, too. Ours starts the week with one that's very easy, then easy, medium and hard. I'm pretty comfortable with the very easy and easy, and I'll even do the medium ones (though I lose patience sometimes because it seems to take so long). The hard ones have been just too frustrating to me, (too much like the math homework from my much-younger days!) so I usually don't even bother with the hard ones.

We picked up some books of them -- they were on sale at Target once and I've found cheap ones at Kmart and the Goodwill store.

Liz

my daughter had to do these in her math class this year. I started helping her and now I am sooo addicted. I got some of these books at Dollar Tree. They are fun to do after you figure them out.

lrivetz mostly it is played by filling in a grid so that every row, every column, and every 3x3 box contains the digits 1 through 9. They also have some the cotains words but I haven't done that yet. go here http://www.sudoku.com/ and check it out. If you like puzzles you will probably like it. Good luck!!

I saw an example of it, but I could not figure out how to play it.

I am hooked. I love the puzzles. I even do them when I am bowling on Tuesday nights. I am getting better at them.

lrivetz, There are 9 boxes, 9 rows and 9 columns. In each is the numbers 1 thru 9. The catch is that you can not duplicate a number in any row, box or column. Good luck.
