Board games

I don't think there's anything better than playing board games with your family when it's raining outside. Some of the best memories i have!

My sister and I used to play board games together all of the time when we were younger.

When my family gathers for the holidays, they usually play Trivial Pursuit or a card game.

For New Years Eve, My DH and I and my sister and her "boyfriend" got together at my house and played games. It was a pretty good time.

When we get together with my dh's family over the holidays we eventually end up playing games together at some point. Some of our new favorites are Scattergories, Sequence, and Settlers of Catan. Sequence is a great game that kids can play as well and can have from 2 players on up. When I was a kid we loved playing Monopoly, Yatzee or Life. My mom could always beat me at Chinese Checkers and still can!

The cool thing is they have all versions of these games.
Like Trivial Pursuit has the DVD edition, Disney Edition..Monopoly has scooby doo, Shrek, and so forth, AND there is kids versions too!

A "Serious" Gamer Here!

Our family is BIG time into table games. My husband and I are often involved in planning games for our church activities, too (We have a Bunco party NYD). An all time favorite for groups of probably 6 or more is Sound Off. It's a game that is a variation of Charades, but you have to makes sounds for it to count. It's pretty hysterical--even for people who are shy about doing it! Our newest game love Oodles of Doodles. It's kind of an advance type of Pictionary. You have to draw 8 pictures in a given category.

DH and I play Skip Bo just about everyday!

I love games too! Chess, checkers, all kinds of cards! But especially pictionary! & we recently learned how to play chickenfoot (dominoes) and I like that b/c you don't have to have an even number of players! My favorite game as a kid was "battling tops"!
Happy playing!
