Ozzy gave me a baby squirrel on our walk today ewwww. It was just laying on the sidewalk, playing dead maybe...? I screamed and jerked the leash. Oz let him go.
What do you do when a dog really goes to town on an animal?
Wish I had some advice, my dogs have never brought anything to me... thank goodness. Although the neighbors cat left us a bird on our front steps, Ugh!

I’d Like To Help You Out.. Which Way Did You Come In?
Im sorry, I know how upsetting that is, I think they do it because
it is in there nature really to do that, certain breeds have backgrounds for hunting like Doxins do. I really dont think there is any thing we can do, But can tell you what Id do. If it keeps up when you are out walking you can try a muzzle that will prevent them from hurting them, talk to them in a stern voice might also help.I now when I talk to my doxin in a stern voice she feels guilty for what ever she may have done wrong.
I hope this helps.
