Thumbs up Asian-Style Green Bean Salad

1 pound green beans, trimmed and blanched
1/2 cup red onion, minced
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger root, minced
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
3 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon lime juice
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted

Combine green beans, onion, red pepper flakes, cilantro, garlic and ginger in a large bowl. Whisk oil with vinegar and lime juice. Pour dressing over bean mixture and toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper. Chill until ready to serve.
2. Before serving, toss in the toasted sesame seeds.

Yields: 4 servings
