Keeping cool

Today, it's in the high 90's and humid. I found that if we close the blinds and keep the lights off, it's so much cooler and don't have to use the AC as much.

103*F here today. I kicked the kids out of the paddling pool and laid in there, lol. All we have is one of those little window air conditioners, and the poor thing just can't keep up when it is this hot.

Does it usually get 103 in Canada? I never knew that it would get that hot. I guess if it is usually cooler than not too many people have air conditioners.
Crazy weather we are having.

Here on the prairies it averages about 25*c (I think that'a about 85*f) in July and August. We usually get 2 or 3 hot spells of 100 - 110*f during that time, which last in duration of about 3 days. It's funny here, because we get both extremes of the weather, in the winter we get -35*C, and in the summer we get +35*c, lol.

It gets hot here.It will be about 94 here where i live.We usually stay inside with the a/c running and the fans running.I would love to go to the pools but the crowds are ususally there and the ground can get hot too.

Right now it's 94 degrees. The lakes are so warm the last few days that not many go in the water beacause it really doesn't cool you off. My gk's have been in the pool and the funny part is the pool water is really cool. The A/C has been going non stop for the past 3 days. The humidity is very bad ....Have a cool day ladies......
