After watching the new program - Honey we're killing the kids, I'm diligently working on our diets. DH has lost some weight and so have I. D (teen) S, has been sneaking to Jack in the Box after school! Don't know how to stop this.

I am working on this too! Trying to cut out sugar. Or most of it. With dd's JRA white sugar is bad for her. Improving our diet is hard with all of dd's food allergies too but I can do it.

I have had a really bad day with dh's boss' death and stuff this wife has said and other nastiness..... Yep I am taking all of this personaly because thta is the way it was meant.

I'm so sorry that this woman has you so bummed Connie. She probably sees you as an easy target for her rath. Look at all the other positives in you life, she only has the power over you that you give her.

Thanks for reminding me of that! If the lineman all sit together tomorrow, I will not attend. I decided yesterday I wouldn't take food over. I will send/give a card. I will also keep my distance from this family. I think that is one reason God didn't bless this 'friendship'. He knew she enjoyed cutting me down. Must make her feel better? Or bigger? Still putting my energy into cleaning house!!!

Hi peppergirl! - sugar always makes me feel bad too. I think about the fast food, keep providing choices at home and the ff thing will be offset by that. My dds recently decided they felt bad after eating ff, but that is because they had something to compare it to, good food at home. Now they wait until we get home if we can to eat. Or we stop at a grocery store.

My little step I have forgotten! It was really good too. Oh yeah! A lawn care company was blocking my neighbor's mailbox and the PO is not allowed to get out of their cars to deliver unless it is a package, so I stopped the lawnmower and ran over to get the mail from her and put it in my neighbor's mailbox.

I am not going to beat myself up over being rude to a mom but instead think of the good things that happened over the weekend.

I got one more set up step in my prayer notebook done.

I began the prayer book today! Got two local ladies to agree to pray with me for interventions for high school kids as problems come to our attention. It's a SSPC (super secret prayer club).

Today my dh is going to drive team members to practice bec one of the other drivers is out of town. That is really really nice bec it means he will work late to make up that time.

For me, I left a phone message to my dd1 about how it felt to be nagged incessantly over using someone else's things (dh and the new car) and how my sympathy was with her when I did the same to her.

Today was one step backward and one step forward. The backwards step was cutting off a bush branch that had a bird nest on it! I thought I could move the nest but the other spot was kind of unstable. I hope the birds still use it.

The forward step was editing an article on our girls lacrosse team for the local newspaper, using that great college education. Well, we'll see how much more editing the paper gives it!

Hmm, missed yesterday, today I gummed up the courage to go and say hello to a teammate from high school. She was cordial and I was glad I didn't just let her go by. I am usually kind of shy (!) with this kind of thing.

Today I have a sick family, a very sick dh and a broken kitchen faucet. I picked up the phone and asked for help instead of tearing my hair out trying to install it myself. I never ask for help.
