Where do I get summaries of books?

I have a question about books. Does anyone know where one can get a summary of a book? I heard that you can get a summary of books online? We have literally days to read several books about theorists and compare and contrast and write how their theories fit into our personal lives. It would be SO nice, for this intense summer school, if I could access the summary of these books. I appreciate any information.

How do I get it to give me a summary of a particular book? For example, I have Contingencies of Reinforcement by B.F. Skinner. It is a 297 page book. I would like a condensed version or summary of this book, for example.

DeBora not sure if they have them but I always used coles notes for literature...I am just not sure if they would have them for the books you are looking for...also don't know if it is available online...did you ask a librarian????

Deb, here's the problem. We can't ask the librarian because we are asking for a condensed summary of the book that our professor is wanting us to read in its entirety. However, this is a 4 week course so we are trying to find shortcuts that the professor would not approve. He also teaches this course in the spring when the student have 4 times more time to read this material. I know there is an online "cheat" source because I have had students who had to write a paper on a book used that source. I always warned them to be careful in taking these shortcuts. Now, at the end of the educational road, I find myself in need of these very resources and wish I had written them down. lol

Where do I go to find Cole's notes?

DeBora I think they are called cliff notes in the states...I think coles is only in canada....most major book stores like barnes and noble carry they....you could also try sparknotes.com.....hope you can find what you need....I know I turned to them in 4th year literature....

However, none of the books that I have are on the list. Bummer. I guess I have a full weekend on my schedule.
