I am wanting to find some sites to help my first grader in her reading. Reading is great, but would like to make it more fun for her since she likes computer time.

Here is another good one: http://www.rif.org/readingplanet/ My son earned a $10 gift card from Target over the summer for reading on here.
I can give you more game sites for their ages that use spelling and words if you are interested in them. My son is in 3rd grade but I have been doing this for the past few years because he loves using the computer too.

This isn't online, but check out a company called The Institute of Reading Development. They're pretty much all over the country, and they do summertime reading programs for all ages. They actually helped out my middle child quite a bit last summer.
This time, the theme is going to be autumn/Halloween so your stories need to use smilies to express as many words as possible and your story should be focused on anything that has to do with autumn or Halloween.
Members will be allowed to submit one story pertaining to a Halloween story and one story pertaining to an autumn story. Please click here to enter!
