Boredom munching

when boredom sets in, I often munch, but always on the wrong things,

What quick picky type of snacks that are healthy can you suggest for me to munch on please?

I am on a diet and I have the same problem. Here are some things I make sure I have around to snack on.

pretzel nuggets--about 16 make a serving
carrot and celery sticks
crackers with peanut butter
fat free microwave popcorn(individual size)
sugar free jello and pudding(make my own)
Eddy Popsicles(strawberry are to die for!!)
fruit(apples, bananas,etc)
1 hardboiled egg
small amount of nuts or almonds

Ever tried the Skinny Cow icecream sandwiches or chocolate eclair bars or fudgesicles? they are low in fat and calories but sooo good!

For healthy snacks I also eat a lot of fruit and in the summer there is so much to choose from. Frozen grapes are a great cold treat. I also eat Baby Bell low fat cheese. I also do Charlotte's idea of a hard boiled egg (eating protein keeps you full longer) Peanut butter on celery sticks is also good. When I crave chocolate, I often drink chocolate Silk soy milk. I was surprised that it was actually so good. And instead of soda, I often drink fizzy water with a lemon slice.

Personally I don't care for Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches but Adam and Judy both liked them.
I love Silk Milk have not had the chocolate yet. That will have to be on my "things to get list" when I am able to get out and about myself.
Have any of you had the Cheddar Airs ? It looks like Popcorn but not and no husks

Yes WendyMichelle, I am just as guilty. ;-)
That's why I try to keep prepackaged dry fruit snack back and canned fruit next to the chips in the pantry, and the pre-cut carrot nubs in a semi-water filled container near the front of the refrigerator along with "lite" yogurt on eye level shelves. In the meat drawer I keep 1% or 2% milk fat string cheese sticks visible through drawer, and occasionally I buy red delicious apples for the other crisper drawer. If the prices are just right I may even pick up fresh broccoli and /or Cauliflower - and prepackaged saltless almonds or sunflower seeds. Also tomatoes are really good raw also, i use to eat them like apples during my junior and high school educational years. Great for Lycopenes and they are one of the few fruits that do not "have" to be refridgerated.

Make yourself a healthy snack mix of nuts, sunflower seeds, raisins and other dried fruit. You can even add air popped popcorn to that mix if you like it.

cheese sticks

celery and natural pnut butter or lowfat cream cheese

applesauce or flavored applesauce

fat free pudding

a flavorful cup of hot tea
