That homemade cranberry juice sounds good. I'm not a coffee drinker but used to drink a lot of orange in the morinng, so have cut back on that and started drinking water earlier. The only problem is that now I have to run to the bathroom a lot more often.
I need to have a few sweet snacks in the house or will binge when I'm at work where they sell chocolate candy bars, etc. I do check the portion size on the packages and try to stick to them.
The produce in the stores has been terrible this winter. I did go to Costco today and found some apples and tangerines so I will be eating a lot more fruit for snacks this coming week. I also bought some avocados and frozen vegetables. I usually use the avocado as the main protein portion of a lunch since they are the good type of cholesterol and fat. In fact, one whole one would be enough to fill me up for a whole meal.
White flour is tough to give up. I don't eat much processed food since most of it has way too much sodium in it but have a weakness for gingerbread cookies, even when it is not Christmas time.
