Yes I like the family bowl idea too! Since I have two people in their 80's and ourselves, in our 40's. Perfect!!! Thank you! You solved my quandry.

I also buy those mirror/window jellies for each holiday and put them on everyone's bathroom mirror and then ON that day with a colored Sharpie, I wake up early and they get a hand written greeting on the mirror. Its dorky but everyone likes it.

Thanks! This one will get used in this casa!

Jodi

I love the idea of the jellies on the mirrors! My daughter loves those things and they have them on their classroom door. I've been trying to think of where I could stick some of them around here. The bathroom mirror would be perfect! Thanks for sharing this tip!!

Ok, silly question...Does the Sharpie wipe right off with window cleaner? My kids would love this, too!

Surprisingly, the Sharpie does rub right off with a little elbow grease. Now, the jells leave a little residue, but I windex it right off, or replace with a new season jellie and you cant see it. (hee hee!).

I even put the jellies on the bathroom shower stall!

(you can get the jellies at Walgreen's for a dollar OR the dollar bins at Target. My FAVE!)

Have fun - this is the cheapest decorating you can do! (and I do this for guests to welcome them too. Again - dorky but its the little things!).

  • I haven't done Easter baskets for years. I am in the mood this year! I think we will have a family basket. I am making this for the kids along with pj bottoms out of the same fabric.Purple camo for dd and gray/black camo for ds. I am stocking up on Hersheys Kisses. Dd did ask for a chocolate cross. I think that is enough.

I hope that you will post a picture of this when it's done.
