Ribbon Basket

Ribbon Basket

You will need:

A can, any size
Ribbon
Pipe cleaner
Tacky glue
Scissors
Hot glue gun

Directions

1. Cut enough ribbon to place pieces side by side on the can from top to bottom 2. Glue ribbon to the can placing them one after another. Put glue on the inside top of the can and fold the ribbon over. Only glue the ribbon on the top for now. 3. Using the seam of the can, glue ribbon around the can weaving the ribbon in place. 4. Glue the end of the ribbon to the can and trim the excess ribbon. 5. Continue until the entire can is covered. 6. Glue the loose ends of ribbon to the bottom of the can and trim excess ribbon. 7. Cut two pieces of ribbon 10" each for the handle. 8. Using tacky glue, glue the pipe cleaner in the center of one ribbon and then glue the second ribbon over it. This will conceal the pipe cleaner. Set aside to dry. 9. Glue handle to the inside of the can.

A good way to use up leftover pieces of ribbon from previous craft projects.

Love!! Love!! Love!! this easter basket... it depicts the spring season with those bright colors... you can also stick small candies to the outside of the basket... if its for those little bunnies (kids)

If any of you still do May baskets---this would work very well for that too.

Very cute! Does anyone still make Easter/May baskets from milk cartons & crepe paper? I have for many years with my students & then bought little seedlings to put inside & give.

Can you give me directions on how to make your baskets? I love your idea!
