Anyone else sketch or draw with pencils? I've been drawing since I was a girl. I remember getting my first How To Draw Horses book when I was 11. My father bought it in a hobby shop for me. I remember it well, it was an important day for me! I used to sketch horses on a daily basis, my folders were always covered with horses when I was in school. I stopped drawing for many years when I became a mother and my life transformed.
Now that I am into crafting and painting I've started drawing again. I usually sketch my ideas out first, then put hem to paint.
Animals are my favorite subject, and I would be happy to share my work here. Most of them are from years ago however. But I do have some recent ones. Many of them just got thrown away.
This one I did today while sitting at the beach and my kids were playing:
This is another one I did recently. I made a jar from the birdhouse sketch, the sunflower I haven't done anything with yet. This one I also sketched at the beach, see the water spot on the birdhouse?? LOL!
I can't draw for anything. However, my mom is really good. I guess the artistic side past me right by. My daughter wants to be an artist so it just may skip a generation.... LOL
Well Amanda you revel another of your many talents. I'm super impressed. I'd love to be able to draw like you. I try but it looks nothing like what I think I am drawing. I do try to sketch out what I am planning on making. Like when I get a new idea for a craft or something.
Please keep sharing your drawings with us.

Isn't she. I wish I were able to draw. Writing neat is something I have always wanted to do but I inherited my dear fathers writing. Plus two wrist surgeries did not make it any better.
DD is going to love these drawings. She is visiting her grandmother with DF right now so she hasn't seen these yet. She loves horses and has been enjoying this site with me. She has the drawing horses book and I have tried my hand at it a couple of times. She is very good at it....I'm not. lol As usual Amanda, a really good job.
Amanda, Your drawings are wonderful. I draw a little bit, but not like you. Oil Painting is my thing I have been studying with a local artist for about a year now. She has us "sketch out" many of our subjects before we paint. You certainly have a gift. Thanks for sharing. Sincerely, Roxie
